Mission:

The mission of the Vista Conservancy is to pursue the protection of historical, agricultural and environmentally sensitive open space within the Vista area.

Goals:
The goals of the Vista Conservancy are as follows:

• To promote for the benefit of the general public, the preservation and improvement of natural resources principally in, but not limited to that area circumscribed by the boundaries of the City of Vista and that area within the City of Vista's sphere of influence
  
• To receive lands having unique and sensitive ecological resources
• To protect and preserve valuable environmental resources such as creeks, oak groves, scenic areas, riparian land, and other habitat
• To engage in and promote the scientific study and education regarding the natural resources within designated areas of the Vista Conservancy
• To create an organization which inspires, motivates and invites community participation towards the accomplishment of the goals of the Vista Conservancy
